Tell Us: Safety and Rosh Hashanah

Did you feel safe this holiday with extra police patrols?

Friday evening marks the end of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

While many Long Islanders were celebrating, police were increasing patrols around temples and synagogues to provide extra security during the High Holidays. Residents were also asked to "be the eyes and ears for the police department" and watch out for suspicious activity by County Executive Ed Mangano.

Did you feel safer this Rosh Hashanah knowing there was extra security? Was safety a major concern for you this holiday? Do you think the extra patrols were necessary? Tell us in the comments.
