RVCPD Arrest Alleged OMC Heroin Dealer

Police said the defendant sold nearly 1,000 bags of heroin per week.

Rockville Centre Police arrested an alleged heroin dealer at the Old Mill Court apartment complex Friday morning.

53-year-old William Green was arrested at approximately 8:17 a.m. Friday. Police said that Green is a lifelong Rockville Centre resident, admitted heroin user and is on lifetime parole after numerous past narcotics convictions.

Rockville Centre detectives learned that Green was selling approximately 1,000 bags of heroin per week to up to 30 different customers from Rockville Centre and Lakeview. Police said Green was making up to $500 per day selling heroin to locals.

Upon his arrest, police searched Green's residence and seized a substantial amount of heroin and approximately $20,000 in cash, police said.

Green was charged with five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and four counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree. All nine charges are classified as B felonies.

Green was arraigned on March 2 at First District Court.
