RVC Man Pleads to Lesser Charge in Beating of Parents-in-law

A Rockville Centre man has admitted to beating up his wife's parents at his home in August 2011, according to Nassau officials.

William Verdi pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, Newsday reported. Two counts of second-degree assault were dismissed in March 2012 in exchange for his plea, a one-year conditional discharge and a two-year order of protection against him.

Verdi's mother-in-law was hospitalized with three broken ribs and a fractured elbow. His father-in-law suffered a broken rib.
