RVC Man Assaulted in New York City

23-year-old was knocked out on Lower East Side street.

Cops are looking for a subject that was responsible for a random attack on a Rockville Centre man Thursday morning, reported NBC New York.

Kyle Rogers, 23, of Rockville Centre, was walking near the Bowery Mission on the Lower East Side when an unknown person punched him in the face, said the report. The blow to the face was enough to break Rogers’ jaw and make him pass out, they said.

The incident happened at 2:25 a.m. Thursday, cops said.

"The last thing I remember is putting my jacket on, saying goodbye to my friends and then after that, waking up in the ambulance," Rogers told NBC New York.

Rogers was rushed to Bellevue Hospital and had to have his mouth wired shut on top of care for multiple cuts and bruises to his face from the fall, they said.

NYPD have not defined the assault as a “knockout game” incident, though it is similar to the random attacks that plagued metropolitan areas in recent months, said the report.
