Police: Teen Robbed at Gunpoint in Oceanside

No injuries were reported.

A 15-year-old was robbed at gunpoint of his cellphone in Oceanside Wednesday night, Nassau Police reported.

According to detectives, the boy was riding his bicycle on Oceanside Road in the vicinity of Bennett Street when he was stopped by a 6’ tall white male subject who asked to borrow the victim’s cell phone.

The suspect then reportedly displayed a handgun in his waistband as he reached into the victim’s pocket and removed his phone. 

He then fled in an unknown direction in a gray Nissan Sentra with yellow New York license plate. There were no injuries reported.
