NEARBY: Roslyn Savings Bank in West Hempstead Robbed: Police

Nassau County Police are searching for a man who robbed the Roslyn Savings Bank in West Hempstead on Friday morning. 

Police said that at 9:40 a.m., an unknown male black subject entered the bank, located at 50 Hempstead Tpke., and presented a robbery demand note to the teller. After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, police said the subject fled the bank on foot westbound on Hempstead Turnpike. 

There were four employees and five customers present at the time of the robbery with no injuries reported, police said.

Police described the suspect as being in his 40's, 5'10" to 6' tall, approximately 200 lbs., beard, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
