NEARBY: Cops Offering Reward for Bank Robber ID

Cops are offering up to $5,000 for information leading to his arrest.

Cops are offering up to $5,000 for helping identify the man who allegedly tried to rob Dime Savings Bank in Valley Stream on Dec. 28.

According to police, at 11:45 a.m., the man gave a demand note to the bank teller. He then fled from the bank northbound without any proceeds.

He's described by cops as a black male, 30 years old, approximately 5-foot-10 with a dark complexion and stocky build. He was wearing a dark colored jacket with large orange and white stripes, a black hooded sweatshirt, a black Baltimore Orioles hat and blue jeans.
