POLICE: Gold-Plated Chalice Stolen from St. Agnes

40-year-old chalice has been missing since Sept. 22.

A gold-plated sterling silver chalice was stolen from a back-room closet in St. Agnes, officials said.

The value of the chalice is unknown.

According to Nassau County Detectives, a complainant from St. Agnes reported that an unknown subject, without permission, removed the chalice from a rear closet. The chalice is described as gold-plated sterling silver with a crystal node and platinum cross with a female wedding band attached. It was last seen on Sept. 22.

The chalice has an inscription from 1962 stating: "Dear Jimmy Love Mom and Dad."
