OMC Heroin Dealer Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

A heroin dealer based out of Old Mill Court was sentenced to three years in prison this week.

William Green, 53, pled guilty to numerous drug-related felony charges in First District Court on June 28. Green was sentenced to three years imprisonment, and agreed to the forfeiture of approximately $20,000 in cash that was seized during his arrest. 

The sentencing stems from Green’s March arrest by Rockville Centre Police Detectives. Police said Green is a lifelong Rockville Centre resident, admitted heroin user and is on lifetime parole after numerous past narcotics convictions.

Rockville Centre detectives learned that Green was selling approximately 1,000 bags of heroin per week to up to 30 different customers from Rockville Centre and Lakeview.

Police said Green was making up to $500 per day selling heroin to locals. Upon his arrest, police searched his residence and seized a substantial amount of heroin and approximately $20,000 in cash.

Police Commissioner Charles Gennario reiterated that serious criminal behavior will not be tolerated and when caught, criminals will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

"This is indicative of the everyday hard work of Rockville Centre Police officers, and this sentencing is a fruit of their labors," Gennario said.
