Nearby: Duo Tries to Charge Nearly $8K on Stolen Cards

Cops charge two with grand larceny after using stolen cards at Valley Stream Target.

A duo from Brooklyn racked up nearly $8,000 of charges on stolen credit cards at a nearby Target, reported Nassau County Police.

Friday Imhiavan, 43, and Ana Agosto, 22, both from Brooklyn, were caught using two stolen credit cards at Target in Valley Stream, cops said. The two bought computers, cameras, memory cards, mobile phone refill cards, and iTunes cards using one card for a total of $4,953.55, police reported. When they attempted to use the second stolen card to buy $2,876.70 worth of similar merchandise, the card was declined.

The two were arrested and charged shortly afterward.

Imhiavan was charged with third-degree grand larceny, first-degree identity theft, and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Agosto is charged with attempted fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Both will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
