Nassau County Police are looking for help finding a woman who robbed an Oceanside shoe store Thursday night.

Cops said an unidentified woman went to Nine West on Long Beach Road and presented a demand note to a cashier. The cashier cooperated with the demands and handed over an unknown amount of cash, cops said. The subject left the store with a handbag and wallet in addition to money from the register and left, police reported.

The incident happened at 7:50 p.m. Thursday.

The subject is described as a woman with thin build, black hair in a ponytail, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and got into the passenger side of a black car, possibly a Nissan.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.

Another example of what a low budget chain restaurant does to a community. Joe's Crab Shack is having the same effect on that area of Oceanside that Red Lobster had on Baldwin. Look at the crime statistics in that part of Oceanside since Joe's came around. Now, let's analyze the clientele that frequents a place like Joe's (both white and black trash, for all of you who are trying to make this into a racist post). The Red Lobster customers regularly loitered in the stores in that shopping center, which led to much more crime in the community, ultimately leading to locals, both businesses and residents, moving out. Now look at how beautiful that area of Beautiful Baldwin is. Oceanside is not far behind.
