McDonald's Robbed at Gunpoint

Suspect takes $3,000, still at large.

The McDonald's on Sunrise Highway was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night, and the suspect fled with $3,000, authorities said.

According to Nassau County police, the robber entered the fast food restaurant located at 618 Sunrise Hwy. around 10:15 p.m. Armed with a black handgun, the suspect approached the counter and demanded money. The victims handed over $3,000 in cash and their Blackberry cellphones. The suspect fled the restaurant on foot in an unknown direction. There were three employees, but no customers present at the time of the robbery, and no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black man in his twenties, 5'11'' with a stocky build, beard and was wearing a white tank top, multicolored shorts, white sneakers and a dark colored hat.
