The Sixth Battalion consists of fire departments in Seaford, Wantagh, Levittown, Bellmore, North Bellmore, Merrick, North Merrick, East Meadow, Massapequa and North Massapequa. The parade is schedule to begin at 5 pm in the Seaford Long Island Railroad Station parking lot before proceeding east on Brooklyn Avenue, south on Washington Avenue, east on Merrick Road and north on Seamans Neck Road to Waverly Avenue. The parade will then end at the Seaford Fire Department headquarters on the corner of Waverly Avenue and Southard Avenue.

“The members of the Seaford Fire Department are inviting all of our neighbors to come out and show Nassau County's Sixth Battalion what Seaford pride is all about,” said George Kern, chief of the Seaford Fire Department. “Feel free to watch the parade from your front lawn, or head down to the firehouse to watch from the block party.”
Kern said the community should also anticipate road closures and heavy traffic from 5 pm until approximately 6:30 pm. to accommodate the parade route.
