Crimes Nearby: RVC Woman Arrested in Malverne

The following information was supplied by the Lynbrook, Malverne and Nassau County Police Departments. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Arrests

  • On April 6 at 10:30 a.m., a Malverne man was arrested for assault in the third degree by two Malverne police officers. The subject was taken to Malverne Police headquarters for processing and then transported to Nassau County detention to be housed overnight and arraigned the next day at First District court.
  • On April 13 at 9:56 a.m., a Rockville Centre woman was arrested by a Malverne police officer for operating a motor vehicle on Ocean Avenue in the Village of Malverne with a suspended license. The defendant was transported to Malverne Police headquarters for arrest processing. The defendant posted bail and was released with an appearance ticket returnable to Malverne Village court.
  • On April 29 at 8:16 p.m., Vincent Domenech, 23, of Merrick, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation (warrant) at the Lybrook LIRR Station on Sunrise Highway.
  • On April 30 at 12:29 a.m., Tyler E. Bond, 18, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with five counts criminal possession of a controlled substance on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.
  • On May 2 at 10:35 a.m., Shawana M. Staton, 36, of West Hempstead was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, aggravated unlicensed operation (warrant) and uninsured motor vehicle on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.
  • On May 4 at 6:59 a.m., Gerald Adams, 41, of St. Albans, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation and unlicensed operation on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.
Case Reports
  • On April 15 at 2:15 p.m., a Malverne woman reported that her vehicle was parked on Hempstead Avenue in the Village of Malverne when an unknown white vehicle, operated by an unknown person, collided into her vehicle and left the scene. The Malverne police are investigating.
  • Leaving the Scene of an Auto Accident: At 3:08 p.m. on May 2, a complainant reported that their vehicle was struck by a dark colored SUV with two occupants while it was parked in the private parking area of 444 Merrick Road. The operator of the vehicle failed to stop and make known their identity. The Lynbrook Police Detective Division is investigating.
