Rabbi Charged with Sexually Abusing 10-Year-Old Boy
A rabbi has pleaded not guilty to charges that he sexually abused a 10-year-old boy, according to the Nassau County District Attorney. Rabbi Gary Lieberman, 56, of Far Rockaway, was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead Friday and pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, reported the DA's office. Read more here.

Headless Chickens Discovered at Holy Spirit Catholic Church
Detectives said a 58-year-old man was performing landscaping work at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church Thursday morning when he came across a plastic bag on the property. Inside the bag, which was placed in front of a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, were two headless chickens, cops said. Read more here.

Cops: Man Used Dating Site to Scam Woman in Williston Park
According to police, Jose Ruela, 44, met with a 44-year old female victim in front of 374 Hillside Ave. on July 24 at 3:15 p.m. Ruela had reportedly first made contact with the woman through a dating website, identified himself as a U.S. Marshal, a retired NYPD police officer and gave her a fictitious name. Read more here.
