A Hewlett man was arrested after he allegedly drove drunk and crashed into three parked cars in Hewlett Harbor late Monday. Orfeo Franzese, 20, was arrested on Oct. 22 at 12:10 a.m. and charged with two counts of DWI and leaving the scene of an auto accident. Read the full report here.

Three juveniles were charged with attempted robbery for an incident on the Long Beach Bridge on Friday. According to Nassau County Police Department, two 14-year-old males, a 15-year-old male and a fourth male, who is still at large, were riding bicycles southbound on the bridge when they approached a 21-year-old male and forced him to kneel to the ground at about 7:45 p.m. Oct. 26. The Manhattan district attorney has charged a Rockville Centre woman for allegedly aiding in her brother’s smuggling operation by hiding millions of dollars of Indian antiquities. Sushma Sareen, 60, was charged with four counts of first-degree criminal possession of stolen property after she allegedly moved and stored four bronze statues worth a total of $14.5 million. Cops are hunting two men they believe robbed a nearby jewelry store at gunpoint this month. Nassau Robbery Squad detectives said two unidentified men held up Ritz Jewelry on Long Beach Road in Oceanside on Oct. 10 at 1:15 p.m. The two first posed as customers before one pulled out a handgun and announced a robbery, cops said. Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust in E. Garden City
A traffic stop landed a Pennsylvania man in jail after more than 50 pounds of marijuana was discovered inside his vehicle, Nassau County Third Squad detectives said. According to detectives, after conducting a car stop on Ring Road on a vehicle with an expired Georgia registration, an officer, after speaking to the driver, became suspicious of a boxed package that was inside the vehicle.Read the full report here.
