Arrests

May 21 — at 9 p.m., Julian Glover, 19, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with assault for an incident that occurred on Starks Place.

May 22 — at 2:15 a.m., Charles Brown, 65, of Jamaica, New York was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to signal and aggravated unlicensed operation (warrant) on Sunrise Highway.

May 22 — at 10:58 a.m., Clarence J. Belton, 42, of Uniondale, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, no seat belt-operator and disorderly conduct (warrant) on Lakeview Avenue.

May 22 — at 10:50 p.m., Christopher A. Betty 44, of Roosevelt, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation (warrant), consumption of alcohol (warrant), no seat belt — operator (warrant) and operating a motor vehicle while using a hand held cell phone (warrant) on Langdon Place.

May 24 — at 12:30 p.m., Laurie Guarneri, 24, of Lynbrook, was arrested for shoplifting while at Loehmanns located at 1296 Broadway in Hewlett.

May 24 — at 10:25 p.m., Zachary J. Adams, 20, of Hewlett was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, operate in violation of conditional license and no brake lights on Union Avenue.

May 25 — at 9:25 p.m., Casey K. McMahon, 23, of Lynbrook, was arrested for DWI at the intersection of Lawson Boulevard and Moore Avenue in Oceanside.

May 26 — at 6:15 p.m., Sean P. Crane, 49, of Lynbrook, was arrested for DWI at the intersection of Merrick Road and Saratoga Street in Oceanside.

Lynbrook Police are searching for the suspect of a petit larceny that occurred last week at the Rite Aid located at 400 Sunrise Highway.

According to police, on May 23, the manager of the Rite Aid reported observing a male suspect walking around the store with a black plastic bag under his arm around 10:30 a.m. The suspect was then observed at 11 a.m. attempting to leave the store with the bag now filled with merchandise.

The manager attempted to stop the suspect and asked to see what was in the bag when the suspect pushed the manager out of their way and ran from the store, police said.

The suspect dropped an LG cell phone while fleeing the scene, which was recovered by the manager, police said.

According to police, after reviewing security video tapes it was found that the suspect removed three LG cell phones, a Phillips Norelco razor model PT730 and a Phillips Norelco razor model 6945XL. The total amount of property taken was $179.95 dollars.
