Crimes Nearby: Drug Arrests Made on Hempstead Avenue

The following information was supplied by the Lynbrook, Malverne and Nassau County Police Departments. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Arrests

  • On May 8 at 2:20 p.m., Michael J. Diresta, 50, of Rockaway, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation, failed to signal a turn, unlicensed operation and a warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation on Oak Street in Lynbrook.
  • On May 9 at 7:30 a.m., Darin M. Sirianni, 40, of Elmont, was arrested and charged with criminal contempt at Lynbrook Police Headquarters, located at 1 Columbus Drive.
  • On May 9 at 12:56 p.m., Scott H. Glasser, 24, of Douglaston, was arrested and charged with two counts criminal possession of a controlled substance and equipment violation on Hempstead Avenue in Lynbrook.
  • On May 9 at 12:56 p.m., Rose Ann Parbhudial, 23, of Valley Stream,was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance on Hempstead Avenue in Lynbrook.
  • On May 10 at 6:10 p.m., Thomas L. Casill, 28, of North Baldwin, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and unregistered motor vehicle on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.
  • On May 13 at 9:30 a.m., Charles J. Bennett, 37, of Valley Stream, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, suspended registration, unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle and failed to stop on Horton Avenue in Lynbrook.
Case Reports
  • Petit Larceny: At 12:07 p.m. on May 6, a complainant reported that their three automotive tires and rims were taken from the rear of 601 Merrick Road in Lynbrook. The tires and rims are valued at $900. The Lynbrook Police Detective Division is investigating.
  • Petit Larceny: At 10 p.m. on May 6, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) removed their Apple iPhone 5 from their gym bag, which was inside a locker at Sport Time, located at 175 Merrick Road in Lynbrook. The value of the phone is $ 800.
  • Petit Larceny: At 3 p.m. on May 7, the manager of Crown Ford Used Cars, located at 247 Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook, reported that an unknown person(s) removed the driver and passenger side Lower Rocker Moulding from a 2013 Ford Mustang. The value of the moulding is $ 556.36. The moulding was taken between April 30 and May 7.
  • Identity Theft: At 5:15 p.m. on May 10, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) made two unauthorized charges on their Signature Bank MasterCard. The charges total $736.97.
