A Lynbrook woman was arrested in Shirley Monday morning after allegedly driving under the influence of drugs while her two sons were in the car.

According to Suffolk County Police, around at 8:15 a.m., Jennifer Drozdowicz, 37, was driving a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero in the parking lot of the Coastal Gas Station, located at 461 William Floyd Parkway in Shirley, when her vehicle struck one of the station’s gas pumps, causing minor damage.

Drozdowicz had her two sons, ages 4 and 5, in the vehicle at the time of the crash, police said. The children, who were not injured, were released to family members.

Students were allegedly threatened with losing prom and graduation on the last day of classes Friday morning after anti-Semitic graffiti was found behind Lynbrook High School.

A photo sent to Lynbrook Patch confirmed that a graphic anti-Semitic phrase, along with several other graffiti markings, was posted on the back of the school.

Among the phrases were "F%@* Jew," "Smokey Joe" and "563."

According to Urban Dictionary, 563 is "A street gang established in Lynbrook" made up of mostly Caucasian and Hispanic males. "They 'Jump each other in' following a blood in blood out rule." The "563" relates to the Lynbrook area code 11563.
