Crime Watch: Youths Arrested for Firing BB Guns

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

The following information was supplied by the RVC Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests:

On July 25 at 12:31 p.m., Thomas J. Crompton, 33, of Levittown, was arrested and charged with petit larceny for shoplifting from CVS, located at 155 Sunrise Highway on July 18.

On July 26 at 12:01 p.m., Anthony C. Miles Jr., 38, of Staten Island, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and two counts of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after being involved in an auto accident at Lakeview Avenue/N. Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre. The defendant and two occupants in the second vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries.

On July 27 at 1:03 a.m., Cristobal Rivera Jr., 24, of Hartford, Conn., was arrested and charged with two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana during an investigation on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On July 27 at about 7:09 p.m., police units responded to a report of youths firing air/bb guns inside the fenced area of property owned by the Village of Rockville Centre (south of Bligh Field). Five males, one 16 year old and four juveniles were apprehended. The juveniles were processed and will answer the charges in Family Court.

On July 30 at 8:20 p.m., Wesley R. Morrissey, 34, of Baldwin, was arrested and charged with second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct in the vicinity of MPF No. 1 in Rockville Centre.

On  July 31 at 2:40 a.m., Giovanni D. Grandison, 17, of Hicksville, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana in the vicinity of 215 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.
