Crime Watch: Weapon Arrest, Robbery Near Molloy

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest

  • Sean A. O’Neill, 26, of Rocky Point, was arrested on Oct. 2 at 10:33 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Seaman Avenue.

  • A 23-year-old Far Rockaway man was arrested on Oct. 3 at 12:40 a.m. and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and VTL violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of South Park Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.

Robbery

  • A complainant from Hempstead reported to police on Sept. 30 at 7:35 p.m. that he was robbed of personal property while in the vicinity of Molloy College by two unknown men who fled in a dark-colored motor vehicle operated by a third subject. The vehicle was last seen northbound on Hempstead Avenue.

Fraud

  • A complainant from Bohemia reported to police on Oct. 4 that sometime between Sept. 1 and Oct. 1, a former employee collected renewal fees for marketing services from local businesses without authorization.

Unusual Incident

  • A complainant from Harvard Avenue reported to police on Oct. 4 at 2:10 p.m. that an unknown person(s) opened a Verizon cell phone account using her personal information and accrued $451 in unauthorized charges.

Graffiti

  • Police personnel on Sept. 30 at 5:36 p.m. identified graffiti in the vicinity of the bleachers at Skelos Field.

  • A complainant from Za Pizzeria, located at 2 North Park Ave., reported to police on Oct. 1 at 11:14 p.m. that an unknown person(s) placed graffiti on the south exterior wall of the business without authorization.

Property Damage

  • A complainant from Deer Park reported to police on Oct. 5 that sometime between 4 and 7:53 p.m., the driver side mirror to her 2010 Toyota motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked on Burtis Avenue.

  • A complainant from Old Mill Court reported to police on Oct. 6 that sometime since Oct. 4 at 8 a.m., the passenger side doors to her 2013 Honda motor vehicle were damaged by unknown means while parked on Old Mill Court.

  • Harassment

    • A complainant from Hempstead Avenue reported to police on Oct. 6 at 11:16 p.m. that three unknown person(s) did push him to the ground while in the vicinity of Andover Road, causing annoyance and alarm.

    Found property

    • A complainant from Bulson Road reported to police on Oct. 1 at 10:50 a.m. that she found a pink Schwinn girl’s mountain bicycle in the driveway.

  • A complainant from Vernon Avenue reported to police on Oct. 2 at 6:47 p.m. that she found an orange Mongoose bicycle in the side yard.

  • A complainant from South Marion Place reported to police on Oct. 2 at 9:31 a.m. that she found a silver pocketbook in the front yard.

  • A complainant from Raymond Street reported to police on Oct. 3 at 10:04 a.m. that he found a brown Tony Hawk bicycle on the front lawn.
