Crime Watch: Two RVC Residents Arrested

Recent police activity as reported by the RVCPD.

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • On May 1 at 1:18 a.m., Thomas R. Koehler, 25, of Oceanside, was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, criminal possession of a hypodermic and a vehicle and traffic law violation following an investigation by police personnel at S. Centre Avenue and S. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre.
  • On May 2 at 8 p.m., Lois E. Springer, 66, of Brooklyn, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.
  • On May 2 at 10:32 p.m., Rashawn J. Strozier, 21, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Municipal Parking Field No. 16 in Rockville Centre.
  • On May 3 at 1:39 a.m., Frank J. Alagia, 22, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for petit larceny and an open Nassau County warrant following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.
  • On May 4 at 4:47 a.m., Howard N. Hylton, 42, of Amityville, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and Oceanside Road in Rockville Centre.
  • On May 5 at 10:27 p.m., Kevin P. Jones, 23, of Garden City was arrested for disorderly conduct following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.
  • On May 5 at 2:03 a.m., Mitchel J. Golden, 23, of Mahopac, N.Y., was arrested for criminal mischief in the third degree and harassment in the second degree following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.
Robbery
  • On May 5 at 8:10 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that two unknown males stole a Samsung Galaxy S cell phone valued at $600 and attempted to steal her pocketbook while in the vicinity of 100 N. Centre Ave. in Rockville Centre. The two subjects reportedly assaulted the victim requiring medical attention and fled on foot northeast toward N. Centre Avenue, Rockville Centre.   • On May 8 at 7:29 p.m., a complainant from Malverne reported that an unknown male stole her Coach pocketbook containing car key, eyeglasses valued at $400, two credit cards and $3 while in the rear of 278 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre. The victim and her husband sustained injuries requiring medical attention and the male subject fled northbound on foot toward Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.
