Crime Watch: St. Agnes Donation Boxes Robbed

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Arrest:

On March 5 at approximately 2:59 a.m., Brian A. Hendricks, 23, of Smithtown, was arrested for third-degree assault following a police investigation at McFadden’s, located at 210 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.

On March 5 at approximately 4:34 a.m., Patrick T. Gilmore, 21, of W. Hempstead, was arrested for second-degree criminal impersonation following a police investigation at McFadden’s, located at 210 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.

On March 5 at approximately 4:22 a.m., Benny Baez-Hernandez, 29, of W. Hempstead, was arrested for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon, second-degree assault and resisting arrest following a police investigation at Miceli’s Pizza, located at 19 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On March 5 at approximately 4:22 a.m., Freddy Rodriguez, 25, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon, second-degree assault, and resisting arrest following a police investigation at Miceli’s Pizza, located at 19 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On March 5 at approximately 4:34 a.m., Raymond Beranger III, 31, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon, second-degree assault, and resisting arrest following a police investigation at Miceli’s Pizza, located at 19 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

Burglary:

On Feb. 28, a complainant from Hamilton Road in Rockville Centre reported that at approximately 1:30 a.m., unknown person(s) entered his garage through a rear door and attempted to gain entry to the house through a basement window, which was found to be damaged. There was no reported loss at the time of report.

On March 7, a complainant from Saint Agnes Cathedral at 29 Quealy Place in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between March 6 at 6:30 p.m. and March 7 at 4:50 a.m., unknown person(s) entered or remained in Saint Agnes Cathedral without authorization, damaged six donation boxes resulting in approximately $2,500 in damage, and removed approximately $600. 

Larceny:

On March 1, a complainant from Walnut Road in Inwood reported that unknown person(s) stole property from a locker at Bally’s at 60 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre sometime between 4 p.m. and 5:55 p.m.

On March 1, a complainant from Maple Avenue in Hempstead reported that unknown person(s) stole property from a locker at Bally’s at 60 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre sometime between 4:20 p.m. and 5:50 p.m.

On March 1, a complainant from Fourth Avenue in East Rockaway reported that unknown person(s) stole property from a locker at Bally’s at 60 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre sometime between 4:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

On March 4, a complainant from Harvard Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) stole a wallet and camera case from her purse while she was working at Pain Management Center of Long Island, located at 77 N. Centre Ave. in Rockville Centre between 3:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.

On March 5, a complainant from Clinton Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) stole an iPod Touch from his knapsack while at South Side High School gym class on March 3 sometime between 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

Unusual Incident:

On Feb. 28, a complainant from Brower Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) made unauthorized purchases on his Citi MasterCard and attempted to obtain credit with his personal information without authorization.

On March 4, a complainant from San Francisco, Calif. reported to SFPD that unknown person(s) made an unauthorized $1,475.07 purchase at the Rockville Centre Radio Shack on Aug. 14, 2010.

Juvenile Investigation:

On March 4, two thirteen-year-old males reported being shot with a pellet gun by acquaintances while at Wilson School, located at 25 Buckingham Road in Rockville Centre at approximately 5:05 p.m.; the complainants reported minor injuries and refused medical attention with their parents present at RCPDHQ.

Forgery:

On March 2, a complainant owner from Trinity Abstract, located at  44 College Place in Rockville Centre, reported that between Feb. 24 and Feb. 25, unknown person(s) forged and cashed three checks against his business checking account.

Criminal Mischief:

On March 2, a complainant from N. Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) damaged both sides to her parked motor vehicle.

Property Damage:

On March 1, a complainant from Abbey Lane in Baldwin reported that the driver side of her 2006 Toyota was damaged by unknown means on Feb. 25 sometime between 7:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.

On March 4, a complainant manager from 201 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) damaged a side window to restaurant.

On March 6, a complainant from St. James Place in Rockville Centre reported that the rear window to his 2005 Honda was damaged by unknown means while parked on Front Street in  Rockville Centre sometime between March 4 and March 6.
