Crime Watch: Shots Fired at George Martin's

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Arrest:

On Feb. 8 at 10:30 p.m., Steve Reyes, 21, of Astoria, was arrested for petit larceny by NCPD Fifth Precinct personnel following a disturbance at Taiko Restaurant, located at 15 S. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On Feb. 9 at 12:45 a.m., Rudis F. Bonilla, 22, of Hempstead, was arrested for a Hempstead Village bench warrant and VTLs following a police investigation on Lakeview Avenue in Rockville Centre.

Burglary:

On Feb. 9, a complainant from Lakeside Drive in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 5:20 p.m., unknown person(s) damaged two doors and a window to the residence causing approximately $1,000 in damages. No entry was gained and no losses were reported at the time of report.

On Feb. 11, a complainant from Hampton Court in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between Feb. 10 at 10 p.m. and Feb. 11 at 7:30 a.m., unknown person(s) entered the residence through a side window and removed a Samsung 48-inch television, an HP lap top computer, keys, and stole her 1999 Mercury Marquis parked in the driveway.

On Feb. 11, a complainant from Wachusetts Street in Rockville Centre reported that at approximately 1:45 a.m., the house alarm was activated and it was discovered that unknown person(s) had entered the residence through a kitchen window and damaged a cell phone.

Larceny:

On Feb. 9, a complainant from Roxen Road in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) stole her purse from her unlocked 2005 GMC sometime overnight.

On Feb. 10, complainant owner from 7-11 at 324 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre reported that on Feb. 9, an unknown male stole merchandise valued at approximately $95.

On Feb. 10, a complainant from S. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between Feb. 7 and Feb. 9, unknown person(s) stole a UPS delivery valued at $111.47.

On Feb. 10, a complainant assistant manager from CVS Pharmacy at 155 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre reported that at approximately 8:20 p.m. an unknown male stole cosmetic merchandise.

On Feb. 11, a complainant from N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between Feb. 10 at 6:30 p.m. and Feb. 11 at 8:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a briefcase and a Dell lap top computer from her 2008 Cadillac parked in the driveway.

Unusual Incident:

On Feb. 11, a complainant from Arlington Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that on Feb. 9, unknown person(s) attempted to make an online purchase with her American Express credit card account number without authorization.

On Feb. 11, RCFD responded to 2 Lincoln Ave. in Rockville Centre for a reported damaged water main that occurred during construction at that location. RC Building Department and NC Fire Marshal personnel were at scene.

Criminal Mischief:

On Feb. 9, a complainant from George Martin at 65 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre reported that on Feb. 7 at 4:30 p.m., a patron fired two rounds from a handgun and damaged a wall of the restaurant.

On Feb. 9, a complainant reported that unknown person(s) damaged the windows of a vacant house located at 207 Brower Ave. in Rockville Centre. RC Building Department was at scene and authorized board up of premise.

Property Damage:

On Feb. 9, a complainant from N. Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that her 2006 Mitsubishi was damaged by unknown means while parked at King Kullen at 127 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Feb. 12, a complainant employee from Blackthorn’s reported that he observed a male who had been escorted out of the bar in the vicinity of a damaged glass door to Silva Dance Academy at 47 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre. Male subject fled scene on foot.

On Feb. 7, a vehicle was reported to have been damaged by unknown means on Sherman Avenue in Rockville Centre.
