Crime Watch: RVC Man Arrested for Assault and Menacing

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

The following information was supplied by the RVC Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests:

On April 22 at 4:29 a.m., Fabian McFarlane, 34, of Freeport, was arrested for DWI and other VTL violations after he was observed driving recklessly on Sunrise Highway.

On April 23 at 3:31 a.m., Aaron S. Holod, 22, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for third-degree assault, third-degree menacing, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon during a disturbance that occurred on Merrick Road.

On April 21 at 7:05 p.m., a N. Village Avenue resident reported an unknown subject broke her rear basement window and entered her home. Two electronic game systems, a computer monitor, a 27-inch television and assorted jewelry were stolen.

Larceny:

On April 18 at 11 p.m., a S. Park Avenue resident reported her wallet was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in a private lot on Lincoln Avenue.

On April 19 at 10 p.m., a Brentwood resident reported an unknown person broke the window of her 2005 Acura and removed her wallet and other property while the vehicle was parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 3.

Criminal Mischief:

On April 18 at 8:30 a.m., a Jefferson Avenue resident reported an unknown person scratched the driver’s side of her 2007 BMW while it was parked in MPF No. 11 overnight.

On April 21 at 11:30 p.m., an Islip Terrace resident reported an unknown subject threw a rock at his truck and damaged the windshield while he was driving eastbound on Sunrise Highway near N. Forest Avenue.

Graffiti:

On April 22 at 9 a.m., a Blenheim Ct. resident reported an unknown person spray painted letters on the sidewalk, a light pole and a street sign.

On April 24 at about 10 a.m., graffiti was discovered by a Sherman Avenue resident on his child’s basketball backboard. A short time later, the resident reported finding additional graffiti on the fence and no trespassing signs opposite his home. Upon further checking the area, the investigating police officer found more graffiti on street signs in the area.
