Crime Watch: Burglars Hit Radio Shack

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest:

On July 17 at 6:36 p.m., Chris V. Walsh, 40, of Reno, NV was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated harassment following an investigation by police personnel at Rockville Centre Police Headquarters.

Burglary:

On July 16 at 8:29 a.m., an employee from Radio Shack, located at 264 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, reported that unknown person(s) damaged the front glass door, entered the store without permission, and stole property sometime between July 15 at 7 p.m. and July 16 at 8:25 a.m. Proceeds included assorted electronic devices.

On July 17 at 11:43 a.m., the maintenance manager of the vacant building located at 340 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) entered the building without permission and stole copper wiring and aluminum fan blades sometime between July 1 at 10 a.m. and July 16 at noon.
