Crime Watch: Pizza Delivery Man Robbed at Gunpoint

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest:

On June 14 at 6:40 p.m., James L. Barnes Jr., 34, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for disorderly conduct following an investigation by police personnel at his residence.

On June 15 at 4:48 a.m., Robert W. Melillo, 22, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for third-degree assault and an open bench warrant for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation following an investigation by police personnel on N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre.

On June 15 at 6:42 p.m., Craig L. Frascelli, 55, of Long Beach was arrested for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance in or near school following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Homecrest Court in Oceanside.

On June 15 at 6:42 p.m., Mark R. Greenwald, 34, of Deer Park, was arrested for fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Homecrest Court in Oceanside.

On June 17 at 11:45 p.m., Geronimo A. Ramirez, 30, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for disorderly conduct following an investigation by police personnel on S. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.

Robbery:

On June 14 at 1:45 a.m., police personnel responded to the vicinity of Nottingham Road in Rockville Centre for a reported robbery of a pizza delivery person by three subjects who displayed a handgun and fled on foot southbound toward Overlook Lane.

Burglary:

On June 15 at 2:30 p.m., a complainant from Southard Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between May 29 at 9 a.m. and June 8 at noon, Tuesday, unknown person(s) stole a silverware set valued at $300, ten drinking glasses valued at $200, and a patio set valued at $500 from a Driscoll Avenue, Rockville Centre residence.

On June 17 at 12:39 p.m., a complainant from N. Forest Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 11 a.m. and 11:55 a.m., unknown person(s) entered a vacant apartment through an unlocked front door without permission and stole an Acer Model 5517 lap top computer valued at $430.
