Crime Watch, Part Two: Woman Spots Man with Gun at Molloy

Larceny

  • On Sept. 25 at 10:20 a.m., a complainant from Hicksville reported that unknown person(s) removed a backpack containing Molloy shirts valued at $240 from his 2010 Nissan motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field on Sept. 12 between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
  • On Sept. 26 at 3:10 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 25, unknown person(s) damaged a window to his 2001 Ford van while parked at Village Auto Center, 128 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre, and stole scrap metal valued at approximately $1,500.
  • On Sept. 24 at 8 p.m., a complainant from N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 7:45 p.m. and 8 p.m., unknown person(s) stole his 2002 Cannondale SV400 mountain bicycle valued at $800 from the bicycle rack on his 1996 Chevrolet motor vehicle parked in front of his residence.
  • On Sept. 27 at 1:14 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that at approximately 1 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a Chanel handbag valued at $3,000 from Look Twice store located at 21 N. Village Ave.
  • On Sept. 30 at 7:10 p.m., a complainant from Walden reported that sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a 1996 Honda F3-600 motorcycle valued at $3,800 from in front of 311 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.
  • On Sept. 30 at 12:25 p.m., a complainant from Lynbrook reported that sometime between 10 p.m. on Sept. 29 and 1 a.m. on Sept. 30, unknown person(s) stole two NYS license plates from his motor vehicle parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 16 in Rockville Centre.
  • On Sept. 30 at 1:15 p.m., a complainant from Liberty Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 11 p.m. on Sept. 29 and 6 a.m. on Sept. 30, unknown person(s) stole an iPod valued at $150 from an unsecured motor vehicle parked in his driveway.
  • On Oct. 1 at 6:50 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 5:35 a.m. and 6:45 p.m., unknown person(s) stole his 1982 Rallye touring bicycle valued at $350 from the vicinity of Front Street and North Village Avenue in Rockville Centre.
  • On Oct. 2 at 7:48 a.m., a complainant from Addison Place in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m., unknown person(s) removed an iPad valued at $700 from a motor vehicle parked in his driveway.
  • On Oct. 3 at 6:43 a.m., three complainants from Sky Athletic, located at 310 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre, reported larcenies from their vehicles while they were parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 8.

Unusual Incident

  • On Sept. 27 at 11:45 a.m., a complainant from Oceanside reported that at approximately 11:20 a.m. she believed she observed a male in possession of a handgun while in the Public Square at Molloy College. Police personnel and Molloy College security searched the area with no results.
  • On Sept. 27 at 6:10 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that on Sept. 18 at approximately 6 p.m., unknown person(s) transferred $80 from a Money Pak card that was purchased at Walgreen’s.

  • On Sept. 29 at 5:20 a.m., a complainant from Valley Stream reported that unknown person(s) damaged a glass storefront window valued at $245 located at Emris Penny Salon, 217 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

Property Damage

  • On Sept. 26 at 2:23 p.m., a complainant from Marco Island, Fla., reported that her 2009 Honda motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked in the lot located at 150 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.
  • On Sept. 27 at 4:13 p.m., a complainant from East Windsor, N.J., reported that the driver side of her 2012 Volvo motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked at the Best Western located at 173 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre between 9:45 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • On Sept. 28 at 5:15 p.m., a complainant from Cedarhurst reported that on  sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. on Sept. 27, his 2006 Jaguar motor vehicle was damaged by unknown person(s) while parked in front of 287 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.

  • On Sept. 29 at 3:23 a.m., a complainant from Jamaica, N.Y., reported that sometime between approximately 3 and 3:20 a.m. she lost a passport and an iPhone while at Dunn’s River on N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.
