Crime Watch Part Two: String of Burglaries on N. Long Beach Road

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Burglary: 

On July 26 at 6 p.m., a N. Long Beach Road resident reported an unknown person entered her apartment and removed jewelry.

On July 26 at 7:45 p.m., a N. Long Beach Road resident reported an unknown person entered her apartment and removed jewelry and a camera.

On July 26 at 11:15 p.m., a N. Long Beach Road resident reported an unknown person entered his apartment and removed an iPad. 

On July 29 at 8:44 p.m., a N. Park Avenue resident reported that an unknown person entered her apartment and removed jewelry.

Robbery:

On July 30 at 5:20 p.m., a Hicksville resident reported that he was robbed by several unknown males while walking on the sidewalk in the vicinity of 10 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre, the previous night at approximately 2 a.m. The subjects reportedly fled from the scene on foot with proceeds that included the victim’s personal papers, credit cards and $90. The victim sustained minor injures.

Larceny:

On July 25 at 3:55 p.m., the manager of King Kullen, located at 127 Sunrise Highway, reported a male subject stole a carton of cigarettes valued at $90.

On July 29 at 8:35 a.m., the manager of Morrissey GMC, located at 510 Sunrise Highway, reported the theft of four tires and rims from a vehicle parked on their lot sometime between July 28 at 5 p.m. and July 29 at 8 a.m.

Criminal Mischief:

On July 28 at 12:40 p.m., a Setauket resident reported the front driver’s side window on her 2009 Honda was broken by unknown means while the vehicle was parked in front of 195 N. Village Ave.
