Crime Watch Part Two: RVC Teens Caught Riding Unregistered ATV

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Unusual Incident:

On June 26 at 4:25 p.m., an RVC resident complainant reported being advised by the US Post Office that a check for $7,051.83 was misdirected to San Antonio, TX by unknown means.

On July 1 at 12:45 p.m., a complainant from Voorhis Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that on approximately May 24 at noon, unknown person(s) withdrew cash advance for $2,600 from his Capitol One MasterCard and applied for a Barclay’s Bank credit card in his name without authorization.

Criminal Mischief:

On June 26 at 10:39 p.m., a complainant from Foxhurst Road in Baldwin reported that an unknown person damaged the driver side view mirror to his 1994 Chevrolet without permission while on S. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.

On July 1 at 8:55 a.m., a complainant from Princeton Road in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between June 30 at 9:30 p.m. and July 1 at 7 a.m., Saturday, unknown person(s) damaged a front passenger window to his 1999 Nissan that was parked in the driveway.

On July 1 at 11:55 p.m., a complainant from Hollywood Court in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 9 p.m. and 11:50 p.m., unknown person(s) damaged the overhead console to her 2012 VW that was parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 7 in Rockville Centre.

On June 30 at 3:30 p.m., complainant engineer from Jewish National Fund, located at 78 Randall Ave. in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) damaged two copper pipes connected to two outdoor air conditioner units causing approximately $1,000 damage.

Aggravated Harassment:

On  June 26 at 4:50 p.m., a complainant from Princeton Street in Rockville Centre reported receiving a text regarding her 13-year-old daughter causing annoyance and alarm.

Harassment:

On June 29 at 7:22 p.m., a complainant from Hungry Harbor Road in Woodmere reported that at approximately 6 p.m., an unknown male threatened him while at Bally’s, located at 60 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre, causing him annoyance and alarm.

Juvenile:

On June 26 at 2:20 p.m., police personnel observed two 14-year-old males operating an unregistered, uninspected, uninsured ATV in the vicinity of the Mill River Soccer Field on S. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre. The ATV was impounded and the subjects were released to their parents.

Found Property:

On June 29 at 12:15 p.m., a complainant reported finding a blue Dyno NFX bicycle in the vicinity of Maple Avenue and Morris Avenue in Rockville Centre.
