Crime Watch, Part Two: Overnight Car Larcenies Reported

Larceny

  • On Dec. 11 at 8:30 a.m., a complainant from Vassar Place in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 10 and 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 11, unknown person(s) stole a NYS registration and insurance card from her motor vehicle parked in her driveway.
  • On Dec. 11 at 9:40 a.m., a complainant from DeMott Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that at approximately 3:35 a.m., three unknown person(s) entered his 2008 Volvo motor vehicle without authorization and stole three bicycles from a detached garage at his residence.
  • On Dec. 11 at 8:53 a.m., a complainant from Broadway in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 10 and 6:00 a.m. on Dec. 11, unknown person(s) stole assorted presents, two men’s suits and two portable DVD [players] from her 2003 Chevrolet motor vehicle parked in her driveway.
  • On Dec. 12 at 6:43 p.m., a complainant from Lakeview reported that sometime between 5:10 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., unknown person(s) stole his wallet containing $80 from a locker at Bally’s, located at 60 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.
  • On Dec. 12 at 6:43 p.m., a complainant from Freeport reported that sometime between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole his iPhone valued at $700 from a locker at Bally’s, located at 60 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.
  • On Dec. 13 at 4:50 p.m., a complainant from Look Twice Clothing, located at 21 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre, reported that on Dec. 10, two unknown persons purchased $6,104.73 in merchandise with a stolen credit card.
  • On Dec. 15 at 4:20 a.m., a complainant from CVS, located at 598 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre, reported that a male suspect and a female suspect stole fifteen packs of cigarettes valued at $150 from the store.
  • On Dec. 16 at 11:17 p.m., a complainant from Central Islip reported that sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 11:05 p.m., unknown person(s) damaged a rear passenger side window to her 2007 Hyundai motor vehicle and stole a NYS registration and insurance card while parked at Mercy Medical Center located at 1000 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

  • On Dec. 11 at 2:52 p.m., a complainant from Woods Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that an unknown male called him and threatened that his brother was involved in a traffic accident and would be harmed if he did not send money.
  • On Dec. 15 at 10:30 a.m., a complainant from Berkshire Road in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) charged $1,696.75 in transactions against her Capitol One Bank debit account.

Criminal Mischief

  • On Dec. 14 at 12:52 p.m., a complainant from Oceanside reported that her 2011 Acura motor vehicle was damaged (scratched) by unknown person(s) while parked at 100 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

  • On Dec. 12 at 12:57 p.m., a complainant from Northport reported that the driver door and fender to her Honda motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked at Hendrickson Avenue and S. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.

Property Lost

  • On Dec. 12 at 12:30 p.m., a complainant from Lexus, dealership located at 700 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, reported that sometime since Dec. 8, two NYS license plates were lost in the vicinity of the car dealership.
  • On Dec. 12 at 3:19 p.m., a complainant from East Rockaway reported that sometime since 12:20 a.m., his NYS driver license was lost in the vicinity of the Beach House Bar, located at 21 S. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

Harassment

  • On Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m., a complainant from Clinton Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) sent her threatening Facebook messages causing annoyance and alarm.
