Crime Watch Part Two: Nine Car Break Ins on Same Day at Skelos Field

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Larceny:

On May 17 at 9:20 a.m., a complainant from Maple Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) stole a pink cruiser bicycle valued at $100  from in front of her apartment building sometime between May 16 at 9 p.m. and May 17 at 9 a.m.

On May 18 at 12:10 p.m., a complainant from Connecticut reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a Blackberry cell phone valued at $700 and an iPod valued at $420 from his motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field in Rockville Centre.
 
On May 18 at 11:45 a.m., a complainant from New Rochelle reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., unknown person(s) stole an Apple iPhone valued at $400 from his motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field in Rockville Centre.

On May 18 at 12:15 p.m., a complainant from Connecticut reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., unknown person(s) stole an Apple iPhone valued at $600 and a Mobil gas card from his motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field in Rockville Centre.

On May 18 at 12 p.m., a complainant from Connecticut reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., unknown person(s) stole an Apple iPhone valued at $400 and an iPad valued at $260 from his motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field in Rockville Centre.

On May 18 at 11:45 a.m., a complainant from Connecticut reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a Nokia cell phone valued at $450 from his motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field in Rockville Centre.

On May 18 at 11:20 a.m., a complainant from Mamaroneck, NY reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole an Apple iPhone valued at $500 and $120 from his motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field in Rockville Centre.

On May 18 at 12:20 p.m., a complainant from Connecticut reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole an Apple iPhone valued at $300 and a Monster head phone valued at $400 from his motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field in Rockville Centre.

On May 18 at 12:15 p.m., a complainant from Connecticut reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole an Apple iPhone valued at $400 from his motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field in Rockville Centre.

On May 18 at 12:05 p.m., a complainant from Connecticut reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a Motorola cell phone valued at $250 and a Mobile gas card from his motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field in Rockville Centre.

On May 19 at 2:05 p.m., a complainant from Harrison Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) stole a Dell Inspiron lap top computer valued $600 from his 2011 Nissan that was parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 1 in Rockville Centre between May 18 at 11 p.m. and May 19 at 3 a.m.

On May 20 at 4:55 p.m., a complainant from Merrick Road in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between May 19 at 6 p.m. and May 20 at 9:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole an iPod valued at $200 from his unlocked 2008 Nissan parked in front of his apartment building.

Unusual Incident:

On May 16 at 7:36 p.m., a complainant from Park Lane in Rockville Centre reported that at 3:55 p.m., her 9-year-old daughter was approached by an unknown, unshaven male white approximately 60 years old while in front of their residence.

Criminal Mischief:

On May 19 at 11 a.m., complainant owner from Joan Stadt, located at store 35 S. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre, reported that unknown person(s) damaged the front window to her store valued at $250 without permission.

Property Damage:

On May 14 at 2:30 p.m., a complainant from N. Village Avenue reported that the water service line to his residence was damaged at the curb line by unknown means sometime between 9 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.

On May 15 at 9:10 a.m., a complainant from Princeton Road in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between May 14 at 6 p.m. and May 15 at 8:45 a.m., unknown person(s) damaged the passenger side window to a 2008 Chrysler while it was parked in front of his residence.

On May 20 at 11:55 a.m., complainant manager from Ayan’s Restaurant, located at 201 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, reported that a glass window was damaged by unknown means sometime between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. 

Fire:

On May 20 at 4:30 p.m., police personnel and RCFD responded to a reported fire in the flower bed at 224 Seaman Ave. in Rockville Centre; the fire was extinguished by RCFD personnel.

Juvenile:

On May 17 at 7:07 p.m., a complainant from Virginia Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that four youths were observed in the porch of vacant house on Overlook Lane in Rockville Centre; police personnel identified the youths and made notifications to their parents.

Property Lost:

On May 17 at 4 p.m., a complainant from California reported that she lost her driver license while at the Hampton Inn, located at 125 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.
