Crime Watch, Part Two: Multiple Skelos Field Larcenies

Recent police activity as reported by the RVCPD.

Assault

  • On Sept. 17 at 8:20 p.m., a complainant from Bethpage reported that sometime between 1 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. on Aug. 26, unknown person(s) assaulted him in the vicinity of Dark Horse Bar on S. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre, resulting in three facial fractures and a knee injury.
  • On Sept. 22 at 2:30 a.m., a complainant from Berkley Heights, NJ, reported that unknown person(s) struck him in the right eye while in front of the Beach House Bar on Park Avenue in Rockville Centre, resulting in injury requiring medical attention at South Nassau Communities Hospital.

Larceny

  • On Sept. 17 at 10:45 a.m., a complainant from Old Bethpage reported that sometime between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 17, he lost his wallet in the vicinity of Kasey’s Bar on N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre. The complainant said that shortly thereafter, unknown person(s) used his TD Bank debit card to make a purchase at the Exxon located at 345 Sunrise Highway.
  • On Sept. 19 at 3:30 p.m., a complainant from Hicksville reported that sometime between Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 19 12:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole $80 from his 2001 Ford motor vehicle that was parked at Skelos Field.
  • On Sept. 17 at 3:30 p.m., a complainant from Farmingdale reported that sometime between Sept. 18 7 p.m. and Sept. 19 12:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole $100 and an iPad valued at $800 from his 2001 Ford motor vehicle that was parked at Skelos Field.
  • On Sept. 23 at 11:35 a.m., a complainant from Hempstead reported that sometime between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole two social security cards and $140 from her wallet while at the Best Western located at 173 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.
  • On Sept. 23 at 5:43 p.m., a complainant from East Meadow reported that at approximately 5:25 p.m., unknown person(s) stole her Apple iPhone valued at $800 from an outdoor table at Cabo on N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.
  • On Sept. 24 at 8 p.m., a complainant from N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 7:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. unknown, person(s) stole his 2002 Cannondale SV400 mountain bicycle valued at $800 from the bicycle rack on his 1996 Chevrolet motor vehicle parked in front of his residence.

  • On Sept. 20 at 7:40 p.m., a complainant from Old Mill Court in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 7 a.m. on Sept. 17 and 12 a.m. on Sept. 18, unknown person(s) used her stolen Citibank MasterCard debit card to make deposits and withdrawals resulting a loss of $959.52.
  • On Sept. 18 at 6:49 p.m., police personnel responded to the front of 7 S. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre for a reported unattended suspicious package; NCPD ESU responded to assist and an investigation resulted in no further police action being necessary.

Property Damage

  • On Sept. 17 at 6 p.m., a complainant from Lincoln Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that  sometime between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Sept. 6, the passenger side door of her 1999 Honda motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 4 in Rockville Centre.
  • On Sept. 18 at 12:11 p.m., a complainant from West Hempstead reported that the rear window of her 2007 Honda motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while at Sunrise Highway and Yorktown Street in Rockville Centre.
  • On Sept. 18 at 1:55 p.m., a complainant from Judson Place in Rockville Centre reported that his 2010 Jeep motor vehicle was damaged by a tree limb while parked on Judson Place in Rockville Centre.
  • On Sept. 21 at 6 p.m., a complainant from Franklin Square reported that sometime between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., her 2011 ME/BZ motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked in front of 40 S. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

  • On Sept. 19 at 6:35 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that Sept. 13 at approximately 5 p.m., she lost assorted jewelry valued at approximately $11,000 while parked in front of 530 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.
  • On Sept. 20 at 7:52 p.m., a complainant from Brooklyn reported that she drove from the vicinity of 100 Banks Ave. in Rockville Centre with a Mac Book laptop computer valued at $1,500 on top of her motor vehicle resulting in it becoming lost.
  • On Sept. 21 at 7:44 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., she lost a pocketbook and contents that included driver license and social security card while in the Morgan Days North parking field in Rockville Centre.
