Crime Watch Part Two: More Graffiti Found on Village Property, Local Businesses

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Larceny:

On March 6 at 6:41 p.m., a Princeton Road resident reported that unknown person(s) stole $50 from her vehicle sometime between March 6 at 8 a.m.and 6:40 p.m., while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 2 in Rockville Centre.

On March 10 at 4 p.m., a complainant from Hempstead Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that on Feb. 17 sometime between 12 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a Thule wind screen valued at $50 from his 2002 Subaru motor vehicle parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 2.

On March 10 at 5 p.m., a complainant from USPS Merrick Road in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) stole a US Postal push cart from the vicinity of 195 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On March 13 at 7:30 a.m., a complainant from Helena, AL reported that unknown person(s) stole his 2012 BMW rental vehicle from the Hampton Inn, located at 125 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre sometime between  Monday, March 12 at 8:45 p.m. and March 13 at 7 a.m.

On March 14 at 10:30 a.m., a Valley Stream resident reported that unknown person(s) stole her mobile phone while she was inside a doctor’s office located in the medical building at 2000 N. Village Ave. sometime between March 9 at 2 p.m. and March 12 at 9 a.m.

Graffiti:

On March 8 at 10:19 a.m., an employee of the storage facility, located at 250 Maple Ave., reported to police that an unknown person(s) spray painted graffiti on the exterior wall on the rear of his building. 

On March 14 at 10:43 a.m., an employee of the N. Park Avenue Deli at 149 N. Park Ave., reported to police that an unknown person(s) spray painted graffiti on the exterior wall of his business without authorization. 

On March 15 at 4:26 p.m., police personnel identified graffiti that had been placed by unknown person(s) on the RC dumpster located on the east side of 34 Maple Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On March 15 at 3:25 p.m., police personnel identified graffiti that had been placed by unknown person(s) on a parking sign located at the Rockville Centre Library at 221 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

Property Damage:

On March 13 at 3 p.m., a complainant from McDermott Road in South Hempstead reported that the rear of his 2006 Toyota motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked in the King Kullen parking lot at 127 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre between 2:15 p.m. and 2:35 p.m.

On March 11 at 9:08 a.m., a complainant from Kenneth Avenue in Baldwin reported that his 2007 Ford was damaged by unknown means while parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 1 between March 10 at 10 p.m. and March 11 at 2:30 a.m. 

Property Lost:

On March 7 at 11:20 a.m., a Merrick Road, Rockville Centre resident reported that his Kosovo identification card was lost inside his apartment.    

On March 7 at 1:35 p.m., an Amityville resident reported that his drivers’ license and U.S. social security card were lost in the vicinity of Lexus of Rockville Centre at 700 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.  

On March 15 at 10:45 a.m., a complainant from N. Long Beach Avenue in Freeport reported that he lost his wallet and contents while working at Dunkin Donuts at 574 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.
