Crime Watch Part Two: Mass. Man Assaulted on S. Park Ave.

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Property Damage:

On July 18 at 4:29 a.m., a Lehigh Court resident reported that his motor vehicle’s front fender and hood were damaged by unknown means while it was parked in the vicinity of Merrick Road and Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.

On July 19 at 8:36 p.m., a Banks Avenue resident reported that her 2011 Nissan's front fender and hood was damaged by unknown means while it was parked on Merrick Road at Morris Avenue in Rockville Centre.

On July 21 at 9:10 a.m., a Rockaway Avenue resident reported damage to his fence.

Larceny:

On July 17 at 2:17 a.m., an East Meadow resident reported that an unknown person stole $40 from his unlocked vehicle sometime between July 16 at 10 p.m. and July 17 at 2 a.m., while it was parked in front of the building at 50 Banks Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On July 21 at 7:50 p.m., a member at Sportset, located at 40 Maple Ave., reported his cell phone was stolen from an unsecured locker.

Village Code Violation:

On July 19 at noon, police personnel assisted Rockville Centre Building Department inspectors issuing appearance tickets for building code violations at an Osborne Place residence.

Assault:

On July 22 at 2:45 a.m., a Massachusetts resident reported he was punched in the face resulting in a lost tooth while standing on S. Park Avenue. Subject fled eastbound toward Municipal Parking Field No. 8.

Fire:

On July 20 at 11:25 p.m., a car fire was reported on Banks Avenue. RCFD units responded to extinguish the fire.

Graffiti:

On July 20 at 9:09 p.m., a Virginia Avenue resident reported graffiti on a stop sign at Demott Avenue/West Gate.
