Crime Watch Part Two: $800 Worth of Razors and Rogaine Stolen from CVS

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Larceny:

On May 21 at 2:39 p.m., a complainant from Tarence Street in Rockville Centre reported that on May 18, unknown person(s) stole his wallet and NYC Fire Department identification from his 2010 Honda while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 8 between 8 a.m. and noon.

On May 24 at 4:10 p.m., a complainant from 115 Road in St. Albans reported that sometime between 3:05 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., unknown person(s) stole property to include pocketbook, keys, credit cards and $20 from her office at Mercy Medical Center, located at 1000 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On May 22 at 2:30 p.m., a complainant from Adams Court in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between May 16 at 12:30 p.m. and May 16 at 1:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a Federal Express clothing delivery valued at $500 from his front porch.
 
On May 24 at 3 p.m., complainant manager from CVS Pharmacy, located at 598 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre, reported that two unknown males were observed on surveillance video from May 22 at 6:45 p.m., removing 21 Gillette Fusion razors valued at $739.97 and two Rogaine hair products valued at $81.98 without permission.

On May 24 at 10:35 a.m., a complainant from N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that on May 23 sometime between 10 a.m. and 10:05 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a gold necklace valued at $5,000 from her bedroom.

On May 27 at 1:30 a.m., a complainant from Stratford Road in South Hempstead reported that sometime between May 26 at 11 p.m. and May 27 at 12:53 a.m., unknown person(s) damaged the front passenger window of her 2008 VW and stole an iPod valued at $200 while the vehicle was parked on Ormond Street in Rockville Centre.

On May 28 at 2 p.m., a complainant from Bulson Road in Rockville Centre reported that on May 27 sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m., unknown person(s) stole jewelry valued at more than $7,000 from his bedroom.

On May 28 at 4:52 p.m., a complainant from Franklin Avenue in Malverne reported that sometime between July 4, 2011 and May 28, 2012, unknown person(s) stole tires and rims valued at $3,000 from a storage unit at Public Storage, located at 484 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On May 30 at 10 a.m., a complainant from N. Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between May 25 at 5 p.m. and May 28 at 8:15 a.m., unknown person(s) stole $1,620 from a safe in his office.

On May 29 at 9:20 a.m., a complainant from Manhattan Street in Roosevelt reported that unknown person(s) attempted to steal property from the trunk of her 1996 Honda while parked at Mercy Medical Center, located at 1000 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

Unusual Incident:

On May 22 at 3:30 p.m., a complainant from Sherman Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that on March 30 at 10 a.m., unknown person(s) made an online purchase valued at $438.23 from Walmart that was delivered to Tacoma, Washington without authorization.

On May 23 at 6:50 a.m., a complainant from Woods Avenue in Oceanside reported that at 6:26 a.m., he found a suspicious handwritten note taped to the ATM machine at Astoria Federal Bank 339 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.

Criminal Mischief:

On May 27 at 4 a.m., police personnel located a damaged store front window at Star Nail and Spa, located at 42A N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

Property Damage:

On May 22 at 5:45 p.m., a complainant from Derby Road in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between May 22 at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., unknown person(s) damaged the passenger side window to a 2001 Volvo while it was parked on Wilson Lane and N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre.

On May 22 at 10 a.m., a complainant from Salisbury Avenue in Stewart Manor reported that sometime between May 22 at 7 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., her 2010 Nissan was damaged by unknown means while it was parked on S. Forest Avenue in Rockville Centre.

On May 26 at 3 p.m., a complainant from Greystone Road in Rockville Centre reported that the rear window of her 1999 Honda was damaged when a can of Silly String inside the vehicle exploded.

On May 30 at 5 p.m., a complainant from William Street in Rockville Centre reported that at approximately 3:25 p.m., a tree fell at the curbline and damaged power lines at that location.

On May 29 at 11:15 p.m., a complainant from Intervale in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m., her 2001 Hyundai was damaged by unknown means while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 5 in Rockville Centre.

On May 28 at 11:06 a.m., a complainant from S. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between May 27 at 10:15 p.m. and May 28 at 9:30 a.m., his 2012 Lexus was damaged by unknown means.


Found Property:

On May 28 at 11:20 a.m., a blue Giant Farrago mountain bicycle and a red Schwinn 24 Speedster bicycle were found at the northeast corner of DeMott Avenue and Overlook Lane in Rockville Centre.
