Crime Watch, Part Two: Woman Assaulted at Old Mill Court

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Assault

  • On Sept. 4 at 2:30 p.m., a complainant from Amity Harbor reported that on Sept. 2, while in Kasey's Bar on N. Park Avenue, two unknown males were fighting and she was punched by one of them in the left eye and ear causing a concussion requiring medical attention.
  • On Sept. 7 at 4:25 p.m., a female complainant from Old Mill Court reported that at approximately 12:30 a.m., a female acquaintance assaulted her resulting in substantial pain while in front of her residence.
  • On Sept. 9 at 2:49 a.m., a complainant from Lynbrook reported that an unknown person shoved him into a storefront window at Sushi-Ya on N. Park Avenue, causing a laceration to his right forearm and damage to the window valued at $500.

Larceny

  • On Sept. 5 at 8:30 p.m., a sales associate from Radio Shack on Sunrise Highway reported that at approximately 8:05 p.m, an unknown male stole a Gigaware Cable PS-Mac USB-Mini valued at $18.99 by leaving the store without rendering payment.
  • On Sept. 5, a complainant from Huntington reported that on Aug. 23 sometime between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a watch valued at $1,200 and a ring valued at $300 from her 2007 BMW motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field.
  • On Sept. 5 at 3:40 p.m., a complainant from Hicksville reported that on July 9 sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., unknown person(s) stole $270 and a Macy's credit card that was used to make $954.67 in unauthorized purchases from her motor vehicle parked at Skelos Field.
  • On Sept. 5 at 4:25 p.m., a complainant from Lindenhurst reported that on Sept. 1 sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a knapsack and wallet through the open passenger window of his 2012 Kia motor vehicle parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 16.
  • On Sept. 5 at 4:25 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that on Sept. 4 sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a wallet containing $50 and credit cards while she was working at St. Agnes School.

Identity Theft

  • On Sept. 5 at 8:30 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) used his Citibank credit card to make $119.70 in unauthorized purchases between Feb. 25 and July 25.
  • On Sept. 7 at 7:54 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) opened two T-Mobile accounts using his personal information without authorization.
  • On Sept. 8 at 6 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) charged $107.88 US on his iTunes account without authorization.

Unusual Incident

  • On Sept. 4 at 7:54 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that she found instant messaging from a 34-year-old male on her 11-year-old daughter's iPad application.

Graffiti

  • On Sept. 4 at 12:52 p.m., police personnel identified graffiti located in the vicinity of North Village Avenue and Allen Road.
  • On Sept. 7 at 11 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 6:45 a.m. and 11 p.m. unknown person(s) placed graffiti on her 2011 Chevrolet motor vehicle that was parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 2A.

Criminal Mischief

  • On Sept. 9 at 4:20 a.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) damaged a side window of Echo's Wine and Liquors in Rockville Centre causing approximately $600 in damage.

Property Lost

  • On Sept. 4 at 2:20 p.m., a manager from Rockville Centre Pharmacy reported that sometime since Aug. 28, an Ameda Breast Pump valued at $550 was missing.
  • On Sept. 5 at 3:30 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that she lost her passport sometime since May 1.

Fire Alarm

  • On Sept. 4 at 6:53 p.m., police and fire personnel responded to a reported apartment fire at 350 Merrick Road. The fire located in apartment 2T was extinguished by RCFD and RCPD personnel.
