Crime Watch, Part Two: Cars Burglarized, Stolen

Recent police activity as reported by the RVCPD.


  • On Nov. 6 at 8 p.m., a complainant from DeMott Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 8 p.m. on Nov. 6 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 6, unknown person(s) stole his briefcase containing three checkbooks from his parked motor vehicle and that two iPods were taken without permission from a second parked vehicle at the rear of his residence.
  • On Nov. 7 at 11:30 a.m., a complainant from Hamilton Road in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 5 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 5, unknown person(s) stole his 2010 Toyota motor vehicle from the driveway.


  • On Nov. 3 at 1:01 a.m., a female complainant from Freeport was assaulted by a male acquaintance while traveling on Lakeview Avenue in Rockville Centre, resulting in a minor injury.

Unusual Incident

  • On Nov. 6 at 10:40 a.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) called threatening her brother’s safety and demanding money; the complainant confirmed that both her brothers were safe and not in any danger.

Property Damage

  • On Nov. 4 at 7:10 p.m., a complainant from Berkshire Road in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 8 p.m. on Nov. 3 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 4, unknown person(s) damaged three sections of fencing causing $300 worth of damage at his residence.
  • On Nov. 2 at 11:03 p.m., a complainant from Harvard Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 5-11 p.m., unknown person(s) damaged the side view mirror and rear view mirror of her unlocked 2002 Acura motor vehicle parked in her driveway.

Property Lost

  • On Nov. 5 at 9:30 a.m., a complainant from Lynbrook reported that on Nov. 2 at approximately 2:30 a.m., he lost property that included anLynbrook FD badge, credit card and miscellaneous paperwork while in the vicinity of N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre.
