Crime Watch Part Two: $700 in Bikes Stolen From Hampshire Road Home

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Burglary:

On June 19 at approximately 11 a.m., complainant owner from Rave Cleaners at 135 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre reported that an unknown male youth was observed exiting the basement of his business with an adjustable wrench that was taken without permission.

On June 24 at 8:49 a.m., a N. Oceanside Road resident reported an unknown person entered his home overnight after prying open a window and removed jewelry.

Larceny:

On June 18 at 4:30 p.m., a complainant from Merrick Road in Rockville Centre reported that on June 17 sometime between 8:30-8:40 p.m., unknown person(s) stole his Martin and Company guitar valued at $1,500 from the side walk on Davison Place in Rockville Centre.

On June 25 at 10:14 p.m., a complainant from Lynn Place in Woodmere and a complainant from Sixth Street in East Meadow reported that an acquaintance stole $800 from them while in the vicinity of Meehan Lane and N. Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre.

On June 25 at 8:10 p.m., a complainant from Hampshire Road in Rockville Centre reported that on June 23 sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a 2012 Trek Hybrid bicycle valued at $300 and 2012 Diamondback Hybrid bicycle valued at $400 from the front lawn of his residence.

On June 25 at 5:40 p.m., a complainant from Rushmore Street in Huntington Station reported that on June 23 at approximately 1 a.m., unknown person(s) stole her Blackberry cell phone valued at $150 from the bar at Kasey’s, located at 23 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On June 22 at 8:15 p.m., a manager at CVS, located at 598 Merrick Road, reported a male subject stole allergy medication valued at $660.78.

On June 25 at 3:10 a.m., a Bethpage resident reported an unknown person broke the front driver’s side window of his 2002 Honda and stole a credit card while the car was parked in lot No. 1 at Mercy Medical Center.

On June 20 at 10:20 a.m., a complainant from Woods Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between June 19 at 4 p.m. and June 20 at 8:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole her Coach handbag and contents from her 2005 Kia that was parked in the driveway.

Criminal Mischief:

On June 20 at 2 a.m. police personnel responded to Lucille Roberts, located at 298 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, for a reported disturbance involving two unknown males fighting that resulted in a broken glass window at that location.
