Crime Watch Part Two: $600 iPad Stolen From Hewitt Elementary

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Larceny:

On Oct. 25 at 9:45 a.m., a complainant landscaper reported that a lawnmower and trimmer were stolen from his trailer while it was parked on Muirfield Road in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 25, complainant teacher from Hewitt Elementary School, located at 446 Hempstead Ave. in Rockville Centre, reported that on Oct. 25 sometime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a school issued iPad valued at $619 from a pocketbook that was left unattended in a classroom.

On Oct. 27 at 7:40 p.m., a complainant from Dogwood Lane in Rockville Centre reported that her Garmin GPS valued at $100 was stolen from her motor vehicle that was parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 2 between 7:30 a.m. and 5:50 p.m.

On Oct. 30 at 3:05 p.m., a complainant from Lawrence Street in East Rockaway reported that sometime between 2:30 and 3 a.m., unknown person(s) stole an iPhone valued at $800 from his coat pocket while at McFadden’s Bar, located at 210 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.

Criminal Mischief:

On Oct. 29 at 3:50 a.m., complainant owner of Happy Hostess, located at 318A Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, reported that unknown person(s) damaged a store front window valued at $1,000.

On Oct. 29 at 9:30 a.m., a complainant from Lakeview Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) damaged the front passenger window to his 2008 Nissan sometime between Oct. 28 at 11:30 p.m. and Oct. 29 at 8:30 a.m. 

Property Damage:

On Oct. 27, a complainant from Joy Boulevard in Baldwin reported that sometime between 7:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., the bumper to his 2008 Mitsubishi parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 3 was damaged by unknown means.

Graffiti:

On Oct. 28 at 9:17 a.m., police personnel observed graffiti that had been placed on a traffic signal box located at N. Forest Avenue and Maple Avenue in Rockville Centre.

Lost Property:

On Oct. 27 at 1:10 p.m., a complainant from Merrick Road in Rockville Centre reported that he lost his iPhone valued at $199.
