Larceny

  • On July 23 at 10:06 p.m., a complainant from Baldwin reported that at approximately 7 p.m., she left her wallet at Bigelow’s Restaurant, located at 79 N. Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre. When she returned, she discovered that the wallet and contents, including debit cards and an iPod shuffle, had been taken by an unknown person(s).

  • On July 24 at 5:25 p.m., a complainant from Lido Beach reported that sometime since 4:45 p.m. on July 23, an unknown person(s) stole four Gold N Wood eyeglass frames valued at $8,100 from a display case at Cohen’s Optical, located at 560 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

  • On July 25 at 9:55 a.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that an unknown person contacted the complainant on the phone and convinced the complainant to pay $504.95 while pretending to be a Dish Network representative.

  • On July 27 at 8:33 a.m., a complainant from Merrick Road in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 4:50 a.m. on July 26 and 8:45 a.m. on July 27, an unknown person(s) removed an Xbox console valued at $350 and six Xbox games valued at $350 from a closet at his residence.

  • On July 28 at 9:10 p.m., a complainant from Hicksville reported that sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 1:45 a.m., an unknown person(s) removed a wallet containing $700 and personal property from behind the bar at MacArthur Park Restaurant, located at 1 Maple Ave. in Rockville Centre.

  • Unusual Incident

    • On July 22 at 10:18 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that an unknown person(s) made two $300 withdrawals from his Citibank checking account.

    • On July 26 at 12:45 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that sometime since July 19, an unknown person(s) opened a Verizon cell phone account and accrued $1,652.87 in charges using his personal information.

  • On July 26 at 6:20 a.m., a complainant from Lincoln Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that a male subject from Oceanside was observed sitting in his parked automobile without authorization.

  • Harassment

    • On July 22 at 8:30 p.m., a complainant from New Jersey reported that her child’s father’s girlfriend sent her texts and emails and harassed her while at Maine Avenue in Rockville Centre causing annoyance and alarm.

    • On July 23 at 3:45 p.m., an employee from 1 College Place in Rockville Centre reported that a housing authority resident harassed her while at the Rockville Centre Village Hall.

    • On July 27 at 8:33 a.m., a complainant from N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that at approximately 7 a.m., while in front of his business, he was harassed by a Rockville Centre resident from Greystone Road regarding payment for construction work performed.

    Property Damage

    • On July 24 at 7:30 p.m., a complainant from Yale Place in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 9:30 p.m. on July 23 and 6:15 a.m. on July 24, the rear bumper to a 2013 Audi motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked in their driveway.

    • On July 24 at 11:55 a.m., a complainant from N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that a window valued at $1,600 was damaged accidentally by a known person from Freeport.

    • On July 24 at 6:13 p.m., a complainant from Olive Court in Rockville Centre reported that a window on a Woods Avenue house behind his was damaged intentionally by a known person from Rockville Centre.

    Property Lost

    • On July 28 at 8:05 p.m., a complainant from Oceanside reported that he lost a wallet containing personal property while in the vicinity of Municipal Parking Field No. 4 and S. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre

    Found Property

    • On July 28 at 9 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that he found a silver hoop earring while in the vicinity of Municipal Parking Field No.1 and Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.
