Crime Watch, Part II: Mini Fridge Stolen From Outside Home

Recent police activity as reported by the RVCPD.

Larceny

  • On May 9 at 9:04 p.m., a complainant from Brower Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that an unknown person(s) stole a Kenmore mini-refrigerator valued at $300 from in front of his residence while he went inside to get a hand truck.
  • On May 9 at 11:51 a.m., a complainant from Hendrickson Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., an unknown person(s) stole two New York State license plates from his 2003 Chevrolet motor vehicle while it was parked at his residence.
  • On May 10 at 8:45 p.m., a complainant from  Lynbrook reported that sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. her wallet ,containing $400 and credit cards, was stolen from an employee closet while working at International Delight Café, located at 241 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.
Unusual Incident
  • On May 11 at 12:20 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that she received a call on her cellphone from an unknown Hispanic male who demanded $1,000 regarding a supposed auto accident or the subject would injure her brother. The complainant confirmed with her brother that he was not in danger and notified police.
Property Damage
  • On May 12 at 4:32 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 12 p.m. and 4:15 p.m., his 2013 Chevrolet motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked in front of 3A N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.
Harassment
  • On May 10 at 5:25 p.m., an electrician from N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that an acquaintance pushed him while in the parking lot causing annoyance and alarm.
