Crime Watch Part II: Diocesan Checks Forged

Larceny

  • A complainant from Cleveland Avenue reported to police on Oct. 10 that sometime between Oct. 9 at 5 a.m. and  Oct. 10 at 1 p.m., an unknown person(s) stole four flower pots valued at $100 from the front yard.

  • A complainant from Fonda Road reported to police on Oct. 12 that sometime since Oct. 10 at 5 p.m., an unknown person(s) entered the backyard without permission and stole a black/white Diamondback bicycle valued at $250.

  • A complainant from Fonda Road reported to police on Oct. 12 that sometime since Oct. 10 at 6 p.m., an unknown person(s) entered the front yard without permission and stole a blue Specialized bicycle valued at $350.

  • Unusual Incident

    • The risk manager of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, located at 50 North Park Ave., reported to police on Oct. 7 that an unknown person(s) forged and passed checks against the diocesan checking account without authorization.

    • A complainant from Princeton Street reported to police that since Oct. 6, an unknown person(s) made approximately $400 in unauthorized purchases against her Bank of America credit card.

  • A Rockville Centre DPW employee reported to police that sometime between Oct. 8 at 5 p.m. through Oct. 9 at 8 a.m., an unknown person(s) may have tampered with an open water bottle which was left in her desk drawer.

  • A Banks Ave resident reported to police on Oct. 9 that she may have seen a person who was previously reported to police missing from New York City walking on North Village Avenue on Oct. 7.

  • A complainant from Windsor Avenue reported to police on Oct. 12 that an unknown person made a $4,000 withdrawal in Ohio from his Chase Bank savings account without authorization.

  • Criminal Mischief

    • The owner of Prime Catch, located at 41 South Park Ave., reported to police on Oct. 13 that at approximately 3:50 a.m., an unknown person damaged a glass window and frame valued at $5,000.

    Property Damage

    • A complainant from North Carolina reported to police on Oct. 10 at 1:03 p.m. that the rear bumper to her 2013 Hyundai motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked in the vicinity of 124 North Long Beach Rd.
