Crime Watch: Merrick Road Bar Fight Leads to Broken Nose, Fractured Skull

Arrest:
On Jan. 1 at 1:18 a.m., Richard J. Copertino, 22, of Huntington Station, was arrested for second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest following a police investigation on Berkshire Road in Rockville Centre.

Burglary:
On Dec. 29 at 11:07 p.m., police personnel responded to an Oxford Road, Rockville Centre residence for a reported alarm activation at that location. A broken rear window was discovered, however, there was no apparent entry gained or loss at the time of report.

Assault:
On Dec. 30 at 4:45 p.m., a complainant from 150 Street in Flushing reported that on Dec. 30 at approximately 2 a.m., an unknown person assaulted him while at McFadden’s Bar, located at 210 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre, causing injuries that included a broken nose, fractured skull and severe lacerations.
SLA Violation:
On Dec. 31 at 12:10 a.m., manager Michael L. Frasca was issued an appearance ticket for ABC violation Disorderly Premise while at McFadden’s Bar, located at 210 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre regarding a disturbance and assault that reportedly occurred on Dec. 30
