Crime Watch: Homeless Taxi Driver Arrested

Recent police activity as reported by the RVCPD.

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • On Jan. 1 at 8:27 p.m., Danny L. Freeman, 31, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for criminal mischief in the fourth degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree and unauthorized use of a vehicle in the third degree following a police investigation at his residence.
  • On Jan. 6 at 9:23 p.m., Anton Boutros, a 57-year-old homeless taxi driver, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree and vehicle and traffic law offenses following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and N. Forest Avenue in Rockville Centre.

  • On Jan. 2 at 8:42 a.m., a Winding Road resident reported that an unknown person attempted to gain entry to his residence sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 1 and 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 2.
