Crime Watch: High Speed Police Chase Ends on Sunrise Highway

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest:

On June 21 at 2:39 a.m., Edwin Marmol, 24, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana following a police investigation in the vicinity of Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre.

On June 21 at 4:44 a.m., Edgar N. Maldonado, 23, of Baldwin, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation following a police investigation in the vicinity of Municipal Parking Field No. 1 in Rockville Centre.

On June 23 at 2:08 p.m., Terrell S. Jordan, 25, of Valley Stream, was arrested after he was observed speeding on Sunrise Highway. The defendant was charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle, third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer, resisting arrest, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation (2 counts), unlicensed operation, reckless driving, speeding (2 counts), failing to signal a turn (3 counts), failing to stop at stop sign, crossing over double yellow line (2 counts) and avoiding an intersection or traffic signal light (2 counts).

On June 21 at 2:38 p.m., Jamar Parker, 28, of Hempstead was arrested in the vicinity of Fulton Avenue and N. Franklin Street in Hempstead following a robbery investigation by police personnel at Radio Shack, located at 264 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On June 21 at 2:38 p.m., Kajuan A. Crawley, 25, of Brooklyn, was arrested in the vicinity of Fulton Avenue and N. Franklin Street in Hempstead following a robbery investigation by police personnel at Radio Shack, located at 264 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On June 21 at 4 p.m., Luis Pichardo, 22, of Woodmere, was arrested for second-degree obstructing governmental administration during an investigation by police personnel at Radio Shack, located at 264 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On June 21 at 8:03 p.m., Heather L. Essman, 31, of Freeport, was arrested for second-degree criminal contempt following an investigation by police personnel on N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre.
