Crime Watch: Heart Rate Monitors Stolen From P.T.I.

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Arrest:

On Feb. 3 at approximately 4:25 a.m., Laura M. Campana, 42, of Baldwin, was arrested for DWI following a police investigation in Municipal Parking Field No.8 in Rockville Centre.

On Feb. 2, a complainant from Rockaway Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 6:30-8:32 p.m. unknown person(s) damaged a rear window and stole $760, assorted jewelry and 16 prescription pads.

On Feb. 5 at 9 p.m. two complainants from Maple Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) damaged a window screen and entered their apartment through an unlocked window on a fire escape. Proceeds were reported to be jewelry and US currency.

Robbery (attempt):

On Feb. 5 at 2:54 p.m., a complainant teller at Citibank 41 Front St. in Rockville Centre reported that a male passed a note demanding money, but left prior to obtaining proceeds. The male subject was observed leaving the scene in a waiting vehicle.

Criminal Mischief:

On Feb. 6, a complainant manager from Ayhan’s Restaurant located 201 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, reported that unknown person(s) damaged a window pane sometime between Feb. 5 at 10:30 p.m. and Feb. 6 at 9:30 a.m.

Larceny:

On Feb. 1, a complainant from Lee Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) stole property from his shed and damaged a pool cover at his residence.

On Feb. 3, a complainant manager from W. Hudson Street in Long Beach reported that unknown person(s) stole seven heart rate monitors valued at $1,179.65 from P.T.I. Personal Training located at 60 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

Unusual Incident:

On Jan. 31, a complainant from Raymond Street in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) attempted to obtain credit using her personal identity information without authorization.
