Crime Watch: Four-Person Group Attempts Stealing $1K in Mucinex from CVS
Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.
The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Arrest:
On Feb. 7 at 12:49 a.m., Daniel E. Lovell, 27, of Center Moriches, was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and VTL violations following a police investigation at Long Beach Road and Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.

Assault:
On Feb. 12 at 3:35 a.m., a complainant from Central Avenue in Baldwin reported that he was assaulted by an unknown male at 2:30 a.m. while in front of the Beach House Bar, located at 21 S. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

Larceny:
On Feb. 8 at 7:45 a.m., a complainant from Whitehall Road in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) broke the rear passenger side window to his 2009 Hyundai valued at $200 and stole a Garmin GPS valued at $300 while the vehicle was parked at his residence from Feb. 7 at 9:30 p.m. and Feb. 8 at 7:30 a.m.
On Feb. 12 at 8:30 p.m., complainant assistant manager from CVS Pharmacy, located at 598 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre reported that at approximately 8:04 p.m. two male subjects and two female subjects attempted to steal 40 boxes of Mucinex valued at $952.20.
On Feb. 11 at 2:30 a.m., a complainant from Harris Drive in Oceanside reported that a former employee stole his son’s cell phone from a table at Blue Moon Restaurant, located at 26 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre on Feb. 10 at 11 p.m.
Unusual Incident:
On Feb. 7 at 1 p.m., a complainant from Raymond Street in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) made unauthorized purchases totaling $220 on her American Express account on Jan. 31.
ID Theft:
On Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m., a complainant from Rockaway Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) opened an AT&T cell phone account in his name without authorization causing a balance of $294.64.
