Crime Watch: Drug and Assault Arrests in RVC

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

The following information was supplied by the RVC Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest:

On Sept. 8 at 7:55 p.m., Dolores Gutierrez, 64, of Far Rockaway, was arrested for petit larceny following an investigation by police personnel at Home Goods, located at 150 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On Sept. 11 at 12:05 a.m., Matthew F. Micelli, 18, of Rockville Centre was arrested for second-degree criminal sale of marijuana following an investigation by police personnel on Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.

On Sept. 9 at 5:40 p.m., Steven Lukes, 55, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for second-degree assault (two counts), second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and third-degree criminal trespass following a police investigation on Clinton Avenue that resulted in two police officers being injured. One police officer sustained a hand injury and second police officer sustained a knee injury while effectuating the arrest of the defendant.

Larceny:

On Sept. 9 at 12:20 p.m., a complainant from Aster Drive in New Hyde Park reported that unknown person(s) stole $700 and a cell phone from her motor vehicle parked in the rear of 178 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m., an Oceanside resident reported his bicycle was stolen from the bike rack near the LIRR station at Front Street/N. Park Avenue.

On Sept. 13, a complainant from Lenox Road in Rockville Centre reported that on Sept. 11 sometime between 8 a.m. and noon, unknown person(s) stole an iPad valued at $950 from his 2011 Chevrolet that was parked in the rear of 30 Lenox Road in Rockville Centre.
