Crime Watch: DJ Assaults Women at Vibe Lounge

Recent police activity as reported by the RVCPD.

Arrests

  • On June 15 at 2:31 a.m., Michael E. Astor, 56, of Rockville Centre was arrested for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene violation following an auto accident investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Morgan Days South Municipal Parking Field in Rockville Centre.

  • On June 16 at 1:50 p.m., Roy Munson, 56, of Roosevelt, was arrested for disorderly conduct following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of 168 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

  • On June 17 at 4:54 p.m., Belinda A. Smith, 49, of Freeport, was arrested for petit larceny following an investigation by police personnel at Rite Aid, located at 168 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

    Burglary

    • On June 15 at 4:37 a.m., the owner from CJ’s Coffee Shop, located at 225 N. Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre, reported that sometime between 4:30 p.m. on June 14 and 4:37 a.m. on June 15, an unknown person(s) damaged a glass front door, entered the store, damaged a cash register and stole an undetermined amount of property.

    Assault

    • On June 16 at 12:40 a.m., two female complainants from Bay Shore and Amityville reported that a male DJ at Vibe Lounge, located at 60 N. Park Ave. Rockville Centre, hit them, causing a contusion to the left eye of one complainant requiring no medical attention.
